Colorado Teens Help Fellow Teens Get Outdoors
ResumeTeens spend more than seven hours a day, on average, using technology to consume social media, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation study. A group of students at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, want to find out why.
From the Here & Now Contributors Network, Jenny Brundin of Colorado Public Radio reports that the students are collaborating with the local county commission to figure out how to encourage their fellow teens to get up off the couch and unglued from technology. And, perhaps ironically, they're using social media to get teens to take in some fresh air.
