Hamas, Israel Resume Attacks
ResumeIsrael withheld its military strikes in the Gaza Strip for five hours today. The humanitarian pause was requested by the United Nations so people could get out, buy food and relax for a little while.
The militant factions in Gaza also signed on to the temporary ceasefire, but Israel says several rockets were fired from Gaza about halfway into the five-hour window.
Since then, both rocket fire and airstrikes have resumed, even amid reports of full ceasefire negotiations in Cairo.
