House Gives Itself Another Day To Wrap Up

Members of the House of Representatives had planned to be out of the Capitol today, heading home for a five-week recess. Instead, they are back in session for one more day, to discuss legislation aimed at dealing with the border crisis.

The bills to address the issue stalled in both the House and the Senate, as GOP moderates and hardliners were unable to come to a unified conclusion. They hope that the extra day will give them the opportunity to vote.
