Gazans Return To Streets And Markets As Ceasefire Takes Effect

In Gaza City, where the streets have been deserted for weeks, traffic is now flowing and shops have started opening their doors. This, as a three-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas takes effect today, setting the stage for peace talks to be brokered in Egypt.

Israel has pulled its ground forces out of border areas and both sides have halted cross-border attacks. Shahdi Alkashif is covering Gaza for the BBC and he joins Here & Now's Robin Young to talk about what's going on in Gaza today, as well as the outlook for coming weeks.
