Hundreds of people are gathering to say goodbye to Michael Brown, who was shot and killed by a Ferguson, Missouri, police officer earlier this month.

A long line of people waited this morning in sweltering morning heat to get into the Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis for Brown's funeral.

Brown's father has called for a day of peace in honor of his 18-year-old son. Brown's death on Aug. 9 spurred several protests, some that turned into rioting and looting, though recent nights have been calm.

A grand jury is considering evidence in deciding whether Ferguson officer Darren Wilson should face criminal charges.

This segment aired on August 25, 2014.
