Drug Addiction Treatment Is Controversial In Guatemala

It's estimated that 80 percent of the cocaine sold in the U.S. comes from Guatemala, so it's not surprising there is a growing drug addiction problem in the Central American country.

In terms of treatment, there are rehab centers run by the country's churches. But the vast majority of people who are in those treatment centers did not arrive voluntarily. The BBC's Linda Pressly reports they were sent to rehab by their families against their will.
