On Labor Day, people around the country are gathering around the grill to say goodbye to summer. To mark the occasion, we revisit a conversation Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson had with Daniel Vaughn in July 2013.

Vaughn is the barbecue editor at Texas Monthly, and his book, “The Prophets of Smoked Meat: A Journey Through Texas Barbecue,” boldly claims the Lonestar State is home to the best barbecue in the world. What about other states? Don't worry. We ask him about that too.
