Animal rights advocates and some journalists are moving ahead with challenges to so-called "ag-gag laws" that prohibit their filming of livestock operations to uncover possible abuses.

Last week, a federal judge ruled that one such law passed this year in Idaho may be a restriction of free speech and unconstitutional.

Meanwhile, animal welfare activists are employing another method to carry out their "whistleblower" campaigns: unmanned aerial vehicles, more commonly known as drones.
