Prestigious Yet Little Known Literary Prize To Be AwardedPlay
One of the country’s most prestigious, though little known, literary awards is being presented tonight in Cleveland.
For nearly eight decades, the Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards have honored some of America’s top writers for their contributions to understanding racism and appreciating diversity.
Henry Louis Gates, Jr., who hosts the ceremony each year, has called Anisfield-Wolf prize the “Black Pulitzer Prize."
