The award-winning editorial cartoonist Tony Auth was remembered in Philadelphia yesterday.

Auth drew for the Philadelphia Inquirer and died of cancer earlier this month.

Auth encouraged a younger generation of cartoonists and was also said to be well-liked by his peers.

Illustrator Jules Pfeiffer called Auth "a thinking man's cartoonist."

From the Here & Now Contributors Network, Peter Crimmins of WHYY has this tribute.
