Joko Widodo, 53, completed a journey from a riverside shack to the presidential palace in Jakarta today. He was cheered through the streets of Jakarta by the tens of thousands of ordinary Indonesians in a reminder to the opposition-controlled parliament of the strong grassroots support that swept him to power.
