Today marks the beginning of the end of the 113th Congress.

Lawmakers are back in session Wednesday for the first time since the midterm elections, and they have some pretty big things on their to-do list for the next few weeks.

Among them: fund the government, renew tax breaks, hold leadership elections and consider President Obama's requests for funding to fight both Ebola and ISIS.

Here & Now's Sacha Pfeiffer talks to NPR's S.V. Date about what's on the agenda and what's likely to get done in the next few weeks before Congress adjourns.

This segment aired on November 12, 2014.
