Parts Of California Getting First Significant Rain In Months

For the first time in months, there is rain — significant rain — in the forecast for much of drought-stricken California. The first drops came over the weekend, causing mudslides in some areas, and more storms are forecast over the next couple of days.

With much of the state experiencing extreme drought, we check in on what kind of impact these storms will have. Steve Chiotakis of KCRW in Santa Monica tells Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson the rain is "certainly not a drought-buster, but it will help."
