The Labor Department today reported that U.S. employers added 321,000 jobs in November — more than expected. Also in the report, average hourly earnings rose by the largest amount since June 2013 and the unemployment rate held steady at 5.8 percent.

Michael Regan of Bloomberg News joined Here & Now's Peter O'Dowd to discuss the jobs numbers, a new report showing a continued decline in the U.S. birthrate and possible consideration next week of an end to the ban on exporting U.S. crude oil.

Regan also touches on Europe's economy, after the head of the European Central Bank yesterday indicated it would pursue new stimulus measures next year.
