A Year In Review: The Stories That Changed The World

This year began with a missing plane; 239 souls lost to this day somewhere off the coast of Australia.

It would mark the beginning of a year with loss and conflict, disease and divide. It was the start of a year with many questions and few answers, from the self-proclaimed Islamic State in the Middle East to West Africa's Ebola crisis and many stories at home in the U.S.

Here and Now's Jeremy Hobson spoke with Maria Elena Salinas of Univision and Marcus Mabry of The New York Times for a look back on their top events of the year.
