Funeral For Slain NYPD Officer To Take Place This Weekend

Funeral services for New York police officer Wenjian Liu take place this weekend, starting with a wake tomorrow.

Liu was one of the two officers killed in an ambush attack. His partner, Rafael Ramos, had his funeral last weekend.

The deaths of the two officers have created a rift between the NYPD and New York City mayor Bill de Blasio.

De Blasio is caught between protestors who are angry about police brutality in communities of color, and the NYPD who say de Blasio isn't giving them enough support.

When de Blasio spoke at Ramos' funeral, uniformed officers turned their back to him.
