Falling Wages Overshadow Otherwise Good Jobs Report
ResumeLast month the economy added 252,000 new jobs — more than most economists expected. The unemployment rate fell to 5.6 percent in December, but the new jobs report out this morning isn’t all good news.
NPR Senior Business Editor Marilyn Geewax tells Here & Now's Robin Young that wages didn’t rise at all, and in fact, in December they actually fell a little bit. Geewax also discusses what sectors are hiring, and takes a look back the job market for all of 2014.
