After Western Wildfires, Residents Return To Rubble

Fire managers in the Northwest are struggling with a number of major wildfires. Around 30 fires continue to burn in Oregon and Washington, which means suppression resources are stretched thin across the region.

In Oregon, more than 1,000 people were evacuated from their homes because of the fire danger. The 40,000-acre Canyon Creek Fire ballooned on Friday and consumed at least 26 houses. Now, residents are returning to find rubble where their homes once stood. Amanda Peacher from Here & Now contributor Oregon Public Broadcasting reports.
