As students return to school around the country, they're being taught by teachers who are younger and less experienced on average than in generations past.

Missouri is at the forefront of this trend with the youngest teacher workforce in the nation, according to the U.S. Department of Education. Kansas isn't far behind.

Kyle Palmer of Here & Now contributor KCUR visited a school in Kansas City, Missouri, and has our story.
