Lawmakers in Washington this week are navigating a new political landscape, in light of House Speaker John Boehner's impending departure from Congress next month. Boehner surprised the political establishment when he announced he was stepping down from both the speakership and Congress altogether, in part prompted by the visit of Pope Francis.
Washington is also digesting Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's plans to overhaul the U.S. tax system. Here & Now's Robin Young discusses these stories and more with Ron Elving of NPR.
