U.S. and Afghan forces are trying to retake the northern city of Kunduz from the Taliban after its fighters seized the city yesterday. The U.S. hit back with airstrikes Tuesday and Afghan soldiers are on the ground fighting.

This is the first urban area the Taliban has captured since the U.S. invasion in 2001 toppled their regime. The BBC's Waheed Massoud joins Here & Now's Robin Young from Kabul with details.
