The third Republican presidential debate takes place tonight in Boulder, Colorado. Now leading in some polls, Ben Carson downplayed expectations, telling The Hill that he'll relax today by going through the mail that's piled up and getting a haircut.

The Florida Sun Sentinel newspaper today is calling on Marco Rubio to resign, because he has one of the worst attendance record in the Senate. And some of the campaigns are reportedly unhappy about who's got the best green room: Donald Trump.

Republican strategist Paris Dennard tells Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson that he'll be watching to see which candidates will get into sparring matches because it's time for the field to winnow down.
