College-Bound High School Students Get Financial Reality Check

Remember the board game Life?  Players spin a wheel and try to navigate the challenges of getting a job, buying a home, and starting a family.

Recently, about 600 tenth graders spent time at Castleton University, in west central Vermont, playing an over-sized version of that game.

The event was organized to help students prepare for their financial futures. From the Here & Now Contributors Network, Nina Keck of Vermont Public Radio reports.
