On this off-year election, voters in a number of states will decide on ballot initiatives.

In Ohio, the legalization of marijuana is at stake. In Washington State, the trafficking of animal products from endangered species, and in Mississippi, how public schools are funded.

Wendy Underhill, program manager for elections at the National Conference of State Legislatures, joins Here & Now's Robin Young to take a look at state ballot initiatives.
