Congress Reaches Deal On Transportation Bill

Negotiators in the House and Senate came to an agreement yesterday for a five-year, roughly $300 billion bill. In a joint statement, lawmakers said it would improve programs that "sustain our roads, bridges and passenger rail system."

The bill is expected to pass by the end of the week, but it falls far short of what the transportation secretary was calling for and leaves some funding issues unaddressed. Ali Velshi of Al Jazeera America joins Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson with details.
