Chances are, at some point, you’ve dialed 911. About 240 million calls a year come in to 911 call centers across the country. And if you do call 911, chances are it will be from a cellphone. But the current 911 system wasn’t built for cellphones and it’s trying to catch up. Carey Goldberg of Here & Now contributor WBUR reports.
