Nearly all of the public schools in Detroit are closed for a second day Tuesday. Teachers there called in sick to protest the possibility that they won’t be paid through the summer, even though the state legislature provided funding for teachers who signed up for a year-round pay plan. Here & Now's Robin Young speaks to Sarah Cwiek at contributor station Michigan Radio about what the teachers and state officials might do next.
