How One Aid Group Is Helping As The Greek Migrant Crisis Persists
ResumeThis week, about 10,000 migrants crossing from North Africa to Europe were rescued in the Mediterranean. Many of the rescued are being taken to Italy.
There’s also been a notable increase in the number of migrants arriving in Greece this month. It fell sharply in March following the deal between the EU and Turkey, which calls for migrants arriving in Greece to be sent back to Turkey.
Despite closed borders and a dangerous journey, migrants are still trying to make it to Europe. Here & Now's Robin Young talks with Amy Fairbairn from the aid group Mercy Corps about what's happening in Greece.
