Cash Ban Sparks Protests In India
Thousands of people have demonstrated against the decision by the government of India to ban the 500 and 1,000 rupee notes. That would be roughly like banning the $5 and $10 bills in the U.S.
The government has defended the decision as an anti-corruption measure.
