On Monday, officials in Baltimore evicted dozens of artists from the Bell Foundry, a warehouse in the city's Station North Arts District. Inspectors found numerous building code violations that included holes in the floors and unsafe electrical wiring.

Evicted artists say the city was using the fire that claimed at least 36 lives at an Oakland warehouse as an excuse to raze and redevelop the Bell Foundry. Here & Now's Robin Young speaks with Elon Battle, a musician kicked out of the Bell Foundry.

This segment aired on December 7, 2016.
