'Acid House With Pop': Australia's Genre-Bending Jagwar Ma09:52
Play
The Australian group Jagwar Ma (@JagwarMa) came up in one of our Here & Now DJ Sessions, and is now on tour.
The Wall Street Journal says the band taps into "pop, dance music, psychedelic rock and experimental electronica with little side journeys into early-’60s rock and Britpop." Jagwar Ma's Jono Ma struggled to categorize the band's music, but said that its close to "acid house with pop."
Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson speaks with band members Ma, Jack Freeman and Gabriel Winterfield.
