Violence Grows In Congo As President Kabila Refuses To Step Down

What was hoped to be a peaceful transition of power in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been anything but. More than two dozen people have been reported killed in protests in the central African country as demonstrators demand President Joseph Kabila step down.

Kabila's second and final term ended Monday, but he is digging in his heels and refusing to leave.
