About one-third of all rural hospitals in the U.S. are at risk of closing, according to the National Rural Health Association. Eight of those hospitals are in Colorado.

John Daley (@CODaleyNews) of Here & Now contributor Colorado Public Radio traveled to a rural hospital in the eastern plains town of Hugo, and found why the hospital is vital to the small community.
