In this spring home-buying season, sales are up — existing home sales had their strongest month in a decade in March. But the number of homes on the market is down — inventory has been falling for nearly two years, and that is pushing up prices and keeping many first-time buyers out of the market.

Here & Now's Robin Young speaks with CBS News' Jill Schlesinger (@jillonmoney), host of "Jill on Money" and the podcast "Better Off," about what's happening.

This segment aired on April 24, 2017.
