U.S. Economy Expands Just 0.7 Percent In First Quarter

The Commerce Department released its first-quarter estimate of the gross domestic product on Friday. It shows the economy grew at a rate of just 0.7 percent in the first quarter, the weakest quarterly performance in three years.
