Federal Reserve Expected To Announce Interest Rate Hike

The Federal Reserve meets for the last time this year Wednesday, and is expected to raise short-term interest rates by one-quarter of a percentage point. The Fed has long kept rates low to encourage economic recovery after the Great Recession.
