A bill on the table in New Jersey could make it the first state to ban the sale of menthol cigarettes. Small businesses say the move could hurt them, with 35 to 40 percent of their sales coming from menthol cigarettes.

Here & Now's Robin Young speaks with Jonathan Foulds, professor of public health sciences and psychiatry at Penn State University, about how menthol cigarettes impact people differently than other kinds of cigarettes.

This segment aired on February 8, 2018.
