In hour one of Here & Now's March 14, 2018 full broadcast, it's been one month since 17 people were killed in a shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Student Zach Hibshman tells us about an organization he's since co-created, which asks parents, guardians and other adults to sign a contract promising that they will only vote for candidates that put the safety of children ahead of guns. Also, we remember Stephen Hawking, one of the world's best-known scientists, with a professor at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill who was a friend of Hawking's. And new information has come to light in the case of a man detained at Guantanamo Bay in connection with the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole.
