50 Years Ago In Seattle, Black Panthers Organized To Fight Oppression

When Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in 1968, young activists around the country were primed to press more forcefully for social change. In Seattle, two brothers helped start the city's Black Panther group, with the aim of addressing the safety, social needs and oppression of black people.
