Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe turned over a memo regarding the firing of James Comey to special counsel Robert Mueller's office. The memo alleges that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was asked by Trump to reference ties to Russia in his recommendation for Comey's firing. And, Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani called for Mueller to finish his investigation by September to avoid influencing the midterm elections.

Here & Now's Robin Young discusses the latest developments in the ongoing Russia investigation with NPR national security editor Phil Ewing (@philewing).

This segment aired on May 31, 2018.
