The World Economic Forum opened in Davos, Switzerland, but several world leaders are not attending this year. President Trump cancelled the U.S. delegation's trip amid the partial government shutdown. British Prime Minister Theresa May is also absent as she deals with Brexit woes, and French President Emmanuel Macron is skipping Davos as he contends with "yellow vest" protests. Here & Now's Lisa Mullins speaks with Tom Keene (@tomkeene), editor-at-large for Bloomberg News, who is in Davos.

This segment aired on January 22, 2019.
