Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam has lost most of his political support after a racist photograph on his medical school yearbook page surfaced Friday. Northam initially admitted he was in the photo, then a day later backtracked and denied it. Also, Here & Now's Peter O'Dowd talks with Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz of the North Carolina folk duo Mandolin Orange about their new album "Tides of a Teardrop." That and more, in hour one of Here & Now's Feb. 4, 2019 full broadcast. You can read and hear more at hereandnow.org, follow us on Twitter and join the conversation on Facebook.

This program aired on February 4, 2019.
