Celebrating The 150th Anniversary Of The Transcontinental Railroad

On May 10, 1869, the Union Pacific Railroad and the Central Pacific Railroad met at a remote peak in Utah. The completion of the transcontinental railroad was a national media event and its sesquicentennial is being celebrated all along the route this year. Jeff Lunden (@jefflunden) reports.
