Special counsel Robert Mueller announced that he is resigning on Wednesday, speaking publicly for the first time since the beginning of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 elections. NPR's Phil Ewing updates us on the latest. Also, we hear from Greg Pittman, a teacher from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, who opposes arming teachers in the classroom. And, the 2019 climbing season on Mt. Everest has been one of the deadliest on record. Images of a traffic jam of climbers at the top of the mountain have put pressure on the Nepalese government to limit the number of permits it issues. We speak with National Geographic journalist Freddie Wilkinson. That and more, in hour one of Here & Now's May 29, 2019 full broadcast.
