You probably know that kelp is a kind of seaweed that grows quickly in shallow waters of the ocean. It's thought to have first appeared millions of years ago. More recently, the algae has been touted as the next big food trend in the U.S. Alan Yu (@Alan_Yu039) from WHYY reports on how the seaweed boom is going.
