A new tax law under the Trump administration created opportunity zones to encourage investment in poor neighborhoods. Noah Buhayar of Bloomberg News reports they may ultimately do more to enrich developers and fuel gentrification than help the communities they were intended to. Also, the Iowa State Fair is a required stop for the Democratic presidential candidates who want to win over voters ahead of the Iowa caucus in February.
