First-in-the-nation primary state New Hampshire is also known for an unusual tradition: A handful of small communities cast their vote right after midnight.

The township of Dixville and a man named Neil Tillotson have gotten the credit for this tradition. But midnight voting really started a few miles away with a woman named Genevieve Nadig.
