Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Vice President Joe Biden have emerged as top contenders in the 2020 Democratic race after exits by both Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar.

Fourteen states and one territory hold nominating contests on Tuesday, which will go a long way in determining the final victor.

NPR political correspondent Asma Khalid (@asmamk) has been traveling with the Biden campaign and joins host Jeremy Hobson to discuss his final push in the lynchpin states of California and Texas.

This segment aired on March 3, 2020.
