Across the U.S., at least 316 million people are practicing social distancing measures to halt the spread of COVID-19. Many people are finding so-called "quarantine buddies," groups of people agreeing to limit contact with anyone but each other and in effect, creating "alternative families." Also, journalist David Carr was a master of his craft. A new book includes more than 50 of his stories.
