Palestinians Create Checkpoints In The West Bank To Keep The Coronavirus Out02:28
PlayThere's a new twist on the idea of checkpoints in the occupied West Bank. Palestinians there have lived under Israeli rule for half a century, with soldiers and checkpoints monitoring their movement.
Now Palestinians have set up checkpoints of their own to keep out the coronavirus. NPR's Daniel Estrin (@DanielEstrin) reports they've given them a special name.
